On Monday, the 5th August, the Gen- eral Post Office and Kowloon Centrali Post Office will be open from 8 a.m.) to noon, Sheungwan Branch Post Office will be open from 8, a.m. to 10 a.m. and the other Branch Post Offices will be entirely closed.

There will be one collection from the pillar boxes as on Sundays, one delivery at 11.30 of ordinary correspondence a.m. and one delivery of registered correspondence at 11 a.m.

AIR MAIL SERVICE

The air mail postage to U.S.A. and Canada by Pan-American Airways has been increased to $3.60 per 1⁄2 ounce with effect as from 2nd August. The air mail rates to other American coun- tries etc. vla Pan-American Airways a sche- have also been increased 'and dule of rates is exhibited in the Generall Post Office.
