A SERIES OF AIR RAID precaution exercises are to be carried out in different districts during the coming week, the object being to test the initiative and intelligence of A.R.P. Wardens.

One of these exercises took place on Friday even- ing under the direction of Mr. A. E. Gerondal, De- puty Chief Air Raid Warden, Hong Kong, in the Bay View Division between 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.

At the conclusion of the exer- cise, Deputy Chief Air Raid Ward- en Gerondal,-accompanied by all Wardens who participated in the excrcise, went to the A.R.P. Head- quarters to compare reports made by the Wardens with those .re-. ceived at the Report Centre.

A conference of Divisional and District officers was also held and the aims, results and lessons of the exercise were discussed and ar- rangements made for such future adjustments, as were deemed de~ sirable.
