SING TAO HOPE TO GO ON SOCCER TOUR NEXT WEEK Malaya, Burma And GRAPHICCOLE FORM IN

Manila Itinerary

After a delay of nearly two months, Sing Tao Sports Club have now ob-- tained permission from the Football Association of Malaya to tour Malaya and in turn have obtained permission from Hong Kong Football Associa- tion.

It will be recalled that Hong Kong Football Association refused to grant permission for the tour until Malaya had consented to the team visiting Malaya,

Sing Tao now contemplate leav- ing Hong Kong early next week and are including in their itiner- ary, not only Malaya but Burma and Manila.

Recently a circular was received from the Football Association of

Malaya asking for the co-opera- tion of all ports in the Far East potential source of danger to pure

concerning tours which were a

amateur football. Among the sug-

gestions for stricter control was be given permission to visit any

one that a visiting team should not

port unless that port had previous- Jy given permission for the trip.

One can get a pretty good picture of just how cockeyed form is in this game of golf by, perusing Ben Hogan's re- the cord. Hogan is one of best golfers in the game to- day, indeed judging by his winter and spring record, he is neck and neck with Jimmy Demaret for the lead. Hogan has been playing torrid golf for months; for instance he was top man in three tourna- ments during the winter cir- cuit with a record, of 34 un- der par for 276 holes; in the Goodall Round Robin tourney he was easily the class of the field and recorded a 5 under par score for the four rounds of the recent Metropolitan Open.
