The Air Ministry press service states that Bomoen aerodrome was left in flames after the raid, which was carried out by a squadron of Coastal Command aircraft.
A constant watch kept by recon- naissance aircraft over Norway re- vealed the construction of this fresh landing ground. Coastal Command bombers waited until the work was almost finished before paying a visit. Many bombs were dropped. The high explosive
wrecked missiles runways with direct hits and incen- diary bombs set barrack huts and nearby woods ablaze. As they flew away our bombers counted 40 fires on and around the aerodrome.

The departure of the Fleet from Hawaii is also construed as an indica- tion of the United States policy to- ward Japan of adapting itself to the situation which seems to imply that Europe is a more immediate menace and more important for the United States than the situation in the Far East seems to imply.-Havas.
ENGLISHMEN AND FRANCE
London, To-day. Speaking before the Over- seas League, M. Andre Maurois, the great French writer, said that during the last few days he had not heard one word of recrimina- tion or resentment against France by his English friends.
"That only increases my admiration and respect for this country," he said.
He urged all to do everything in their power to maintain, whatever happened, the spirit of friendship, for there were more common beliefs be- tween France and England than be tween one of them and any other nation.-Reuter.

Reuter's diplomatic correspon- dent understands the resignation was a personal decision, and that M. Cambon will act as charge d'affaires in London.
M. Corbin has devoted his life to Anglo-French collaboration and feels the latest. developments make continuation of his work impossible, at least in an official capacity.
The appointment of a British charge d'affaires to France is be- ing considered and it is under- stood a decision will be taken as soon as it is clear he can function without interference.-Reuter.

FOR THE 1 MAN IN 7 WHO SHAVES EVERY DAY
A Special Shave Cream—it's Not a Soap, Needs No Brush! Dallyshaving leaves many men's faces raw and sensitive. Yet, because of his business and social status, one out of every 7 men must shave every day.
To meet this condition, Williams has now developed GLIDER-a ape- cial cream for daily shavers. With no soap base, it's a complete departure from ordinary shave creams. No brush.Nolather. Not sticky or greasy.
A superabundance of moisture is contained in this rich cream. It won't dry on your face. Applied with the fingers, it quickly softens each whisker. A protective layer is formed over which your razor glides. Off comes each hair at the base without scraping. Like a cold cream, Glider helps keep your skin smooth all day. Glider is the result of nearly 100 years' experience in making fine shaving preparations. ·
