Preaches Defeatism In Nation-Wide Broadcast

Echo Of Hitler: Conquest Of Europe

#

(SPECIAL TO CHINA MAIL '')

Washington, To-day. CHARLES LINDBERGH, one-time idol of America, whose pro-German sympathies have been fre- quently expressed since the outbreak of the war, has made another sensational broadcast pre- dicting the conquest of all Europe by Hitler. Lindbergh also, after the style of a His Master's Voice gramaphone record, urged a policy of America for the Americans and Europe for the Europeans..

Co-operation of all American States in the defence of the Western hemis- phere and a "hands off" policy to- wards Europe were the policies main- ly advocated in his nation-wide broad- cast.

Col. Lindbergh strongly condemned what he termed the administration's policy of "meddling in affairs abroad" asserting that the United States must firstly construct a clear cut plan defence and secure the co-operation of all the American States.

NAZIS GET PLANS FOR AIRCRAFT

[SPECIAL TO "CHINÀ MAIL"]

Paris, Yesterday.

It is now certain that among the aircraft plans that the Germans captured at the Fokker works, near Amsterdam, was one set applying to the production of a new. three-seater, long-range fighter, the prototype of which was about to be built.

The plane were put in a bomb- proof shelter near the town, away from the factory, with the original drawings of the existing Fokker fighters and bombers.

A member of the technical staff of the factory, who escaped to England, stated:

"The plans were not made by the late Mr. Anthony Fokker but by some of the best men on the design staff.

360 MILES AN HOUR "The new fighter was to be a 350- m.p.h. aircraft with a single fusel- age, all-metal, and an engine more than 100 horse-power.

of

"The fighter was to be extremely manœuvrable, so that it would not easily be outflown by defending fighters..

It would be just the airplane to accompany bombers on long-range

missions."

Fokker T9 bombers and G1 twin- engined fighters which were on the factory premises when the German invasion began, were flown into

Allied territory.-Havas.

London, June 1. AMERICAN

Youngest passenger in the airplane from Paris to London yesterday was seven-year-old Rupert, son of Prince Leopold Loewenstein, former Uhlan officer and now a naturalised Briton.

The boy had been holiday-making at Grasse, in the South of France.

He jumped out of the airways coach at Victoria with an armful of brightly- coloured picture books at which he had been looking during the journey. He rushed to kiss his mother, who had gone, with Prince Leopold, to meet bim.

She is a sculptress, and has exhibit- ed work in London,

"I loved the journey," Rupert said "But I've been in an airplane lots of times before.".

There were only ten passengers in the incoming airplane. Most of them were English residents returning from Paris.

Incoming freight included boxes of hats and dresses from famous Paris firms.
