French Do An Excellent Day's Work RESISTANCE ZONE HOLDS NAZI TANKS

Paris, To-day. "DESPITE SLIGHT INFILTRATIONS of German tanks at certain points, the French resistance zone on the so-called "Weygand Line" has been maintained solidly everywhere, and conditions can on the whole be con- sidered as favourable.'

"In almost every sector, the French positions suc-

cessfully resisted the advance of tanks. These were the features of the latest-issued French communique stressed by the spokesman of the Ministry for War in Paris early this morning and it is considered that, having regard to the weight of the German onslaught, the French did an ex- cellent day's work.

FRENCH CABINET RESHUFFLE

Paris, To-day.

A communique issued by the Premier, M. Paul Rey- naud, early this morning says: "A Cabinet reshuffle took place yesterday.

"The Prime Minister becomes For eign Minister as well as - Minister of National Defence, these two Minis tries assuring the conduct of the war.

"He will be assisted at the. Min- istry of Foreign Affairs by M. Paul Baudouin and at the Ministry of Na- tional Defence by General de Gaulle, "M. Bouthilller, General Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, becomes Finance Minister."

"M. George Pernot becomes Min- istor for French Familles and will fulfil the function of the farmor Minister of Public Health.

"M. Jean Prouvost becomes Minis- ister of Information, while M. Fros- sard takes over the Ministry of Pu- blic. Works.

“M. Yvon Delbos is appointed Min- ister of National Education."
