Hong Kong Baseball Club Surprise The Natives!

Remarkable Pitching By "Rookie" Bill Smith

THREE HOMERS OVER THE WEEK-END

By "Grandstand"

ON SATURDAY Hong Kong Baseball Club surprised the baseball world when they humbled Mindanao, 6-2, in a drawn out game which lasted two hours and 45 minutes.

The Molthenmen's victory was due mostly to the superb pitching of Bill Smith, who struck out no fewer than 13 Chaseman and walked only three. Bill had his control working almost perfectly and was getting the corners just as backstop Joe Higgins demanded.
