A MESSAGE FROM DUBLIN says the Eire Premier, Mr. Eamonn de Valera, announced in the Dail that in view of the danger threatening the country, the Cosgrave Party and the Labour Party had agreed to join a con- ference each week as often as necessary to consult on matters of national defence.

There would be three members of the Government Party, three Cosgrave followers and two of the Labour Party.

"We must all now be brothers in

one holy cause," said Mr. de Valera.

There was an urgent necessity for. BRITAIN'S

defensive measures the Government had decided upon, he said, adding the regular army reserves were being call- ed up, as well as first-line volunteers. A campaign was being Immediate- ly undertaken to secure thousands more.recruits for the army and men for local security corps.
