R.A.F. DOING ITS JOB SPLENDIDLY

London, To-day.

The Air Ministry an- nounces that on Monday morning Blenheim aircraft made a successful attack on armoured vehicles in the Arras-Cambrai area.

In the afternoon heavy bombing attacks were made in the Arras- Bapaume area.

All our aircraft returned.

During the night a large force of R.A.F. bombers attacked troop con- centrations in the Cambrai-Le Cateau- St. Quentin area.

In the Forest of Nuvion, north of the Aisne, a successful attack was made on enemy troops several large fires started.. From these operations five of our aircraft failed to return.

Yesterday our bomber and fighter aircraft were continuously engaged in operations over a confused fight- ing front in Belgium and northern France. Reuter.

Repeated Attacks

London, To-day. German troops moving over the battlefield of Arras, Bapaume, St. Quentin and Cambrai were subjected to repeated attacks by R.A.F. aircraft through Monday night, states the Air Ministry news service.

Tanks, armoured cars, troops, transport and other reinforcements were vigorously attacked.

A section of Blenheim bombers located and attacked a mile long pro- cession of motor transport.

One aircraft, becoming aware of the movement of troops in the Forest of Mouvion, dropped a number of bombs and within a few minutes a raging fire spread over a wide area.

Near Le Cateau a convoy of heavy lorries was bombed at the head and in the centre, and the scene of dis- order was added to by sweeping the convoy with machinegun fire. Outside Le Cateau two hits were made on a train-Reuter.

DUKE OF GLOUCESTER INJURED SLIGHTLY DURING BOMBING

London, To-day.

It is learned in London that the Duke of Gloucester was for three successive nights in areas in France which were heavily bomb- ed, suffering scratches caused by bomb splinters and having both hands badly bruised.

The Duke and Duchess visited Mansion House yesterday to hear the progress of the Red Cross Fund and stayed to tea with the Lord Mayor-Reuter
