In another "A" Division Army League Besides having old timers like Band- tennis match, Royal Army Medical Corps beat 1st Battalion Middlesex Regiment by 8 sets to 1 at Sookunpoo yesterday.

master Jordan, Cpls. | Newcomers Sutherland, Slater and Massie, the team has been strengthened by the addition of two newcomers in Lieut. Buchanan and 2nd Lieut. Millar, the latter with a great reputation from Home. The Scotsmen have a useful 'keeper in Bankier, who may turn out to be the Army's choice as custodian in repre-lost to Guest and Mellor sentative games this season.

THE decision of Middlesex Regt. not to compete in the Large Units' Water-Polo League came as a sur- prise to many. It is hard to offer any reason for this extraordinary decision, because the "Diehards"

Surprise certainly do not lack good players. No doubt

the ¡Decision several of "Die- hards" will be helping civilian clubs, certainly custodian Berry should find no difficulty in get- ting a game. He was the Army's choice for goal last season.

THIS AFTERNOON'S lawn bowls programme pro- mises to be very interesting, with the game between Club 6 de Recreio and Kowloon Bowling Green Club attracting

most attention,

Both teams have won their first two matches, with the Champions having the more difficult opposition as they met Craigengower at home and K.C.C. at Cox's Road. To-day's hosts, the other hand, have beaten K.C.C. at Austin Road and the Indians away.

on

On form I should perhaps tip the Champions to win but it would not surprise me to see the Austin Road

team nosing them out and I take my courage in both hands and forecast according.

The Civil Servants have Fred Jones and Arthur Grimmitt available again and this fact, together with the re- organisation of the team which has

been effected, makes me think they. will overcome Kowloon Cricket Club down at the Valley.

Kowloon Dock appear to have a very useful team out and I shall be beaten by the surprised if they are Indians in spite of the fact that Dallah will be playing.

In spite of these and other positional changes I think Police will prove a little too strong and should win by a dozen shots or so.

To complete my "Ave 'homes" in tip Craigengower to this division I beat Club de Recreio "B" at the Valley, where they should have little difficulty.

Second Division

Police will be entertaining Kowloon Bowling Green Club, who have not been consistent so far, having won away and lost at home. Police have played only one game, losing away to Club de Recreio, so it is not easy to form any opinion, but I think the visitors may just pull it off.

Club de Recreio are at home to Club and should Kowloon Cricket have an easy task unless Carr's strong rink is able to carry the day.

Taikoo look to have the easiest task in this division as they receive the Civil Servants at Quarry Bay.
