The Air Ministry nounces that intensive opera-
tions by the R.A.F. continue on all parts of the front.
Considerable numbers of enemy bombers have been encountered often escorted by fighters.
Reports so far received indicate that over 40 more enemy aircraft of vari- ous types have been shot down by our Aghters at very small cost.
The striking success of fighters over defence may explain the fan- tastic claims by the enemy in re- gard to the number of Spitfires de- stroyed.
Actually, only one Spitfire was forced
