Born on February 21, 1859, Mr. Lan-. sbury had been Labour member of parliament for the Bow and Bromley Division of Poplar since 1922. He was the son of George Lansbury of Oxford, railway sub-contractor, and was at one time editor of the "Daily Herald."
In 1880, he married the late Eliza- beth Jane Brine who died in 1933.
He leaves two sons and six daught- ers.

The management of the Olympic Grand Circus have very great pleasure in informing circus lovers and the general public of Hongkong that, after more than two months of almost insuperable difficulties, they have secured trans- port from Bangkok of their horses, elephants, lions, tigers and the other ani- mals of the menagerie, which is expected to arrive here in a few days' time.
