Mr. A. F. Paul of No. 3, Cause- way Hill, was charged before Mr. H. G. Sheldon, K.C., at the Central Magistracy this morning, with driv- the in- ing car, No. 2317 under fluence of liquor at Pedder Street on April 24. Mr: D. McCallum pleaded guilty on behalf of the de- fendant.

BLACKOUT OFFENCES

Lieut.-Col. H. L. Murrow, the Gen- eral Manager of the "Daily Press," was fined $20 by Mr. Q. A. A. Mac- fadyen at Kowloon this morning for driving his car with both head-lights on during last blackout.
