(By GRANDSTAND)

After trailing 3-0 for five innings, bungling six chances to the enemy's five bobbles and making one hit less, the Rambling Recs from Club de Recreio were mighty lucky to nose out, Hong Kong Ball Club, 4-3 in their charity soft- ball tilt at Kowloon Football Club on Sunday in aid of the British War Organisation Fund. The game was a thriller and a fitting conclusion to a lengthy season.

Fielding honours went to George Souza, who covered the windy alley like a million dollars, taking six chances without a bobble. George is a second baseman by rights, but he is also a qualifted short-stop. Although making two errors, one of which proved to be very costly, Hal Winglee- ||played a "good game behind the bat,- allowing none of the opposition to pil-~ fer second or third.
