SIR JOHN ANDERSON was questioned in the Commons yesterday about the propaganda activities of certain groups under Communist or Fascist leadership. It had been represented to him previously, by deputations of interested M.P.s that the propaganda of these bodies was of a seditious character.
In his reply, the Home Secretary said he had, for some time past, been carefully watching the activities

people of whom, some appeared to be deliber- ately anxious to hinder the war effort. "The question of what steps would properly be taken to check pro- paganda of a harmful kind was dis- cussed when the Defence Regulations were debated on 31st October.
