NORWEGIANS WOULD LIKE TO MEET MR. QUISLING

London, To-day.

"I don't know where Quisling is now, but I and a number of other Norwegians would very much like to get hold of him!” said a Norwegian offi- cial who has just arrived in London from Nor- way, where he has been in close touch with King Haakon and the Norwegian Government. He said that the treachery from within had been over-emphasised. Much of it had been caused through false orders and announcements put over the radio by the Germans.

GERMAN AIR LOSS FIGURES

The German claim that "during the last few days the British could only bring down 10 German planes," is ridiculed in authoritative circles in London.

It is stated that the official British bulletins covering the period April 6 to April 17 recorded 28 German air- craft destroyed and 19 badly damag- ed, probably lost.

To this must be added figures from Stockholm of six aircraft brought down or interned in Sweden and 10 destroyed by the Norwegians.

In addition, at the lowest `estimate, the 10 must have been destroyed in bombardment of Stavanger.

Thus the total must be reckon- ed at 54 German aircraft lost and 19 badly damaged, probably lost. British losses for the same as officially announced are 25 craft of various types.-Reuter.

CUT FARES BY ITALY

Rome, To-day.

Italy has decided to reduce fares on the Italian State Railways by 33 per cent. for travellers going to the Paris Fair from May 4 to 25, according to Rome radio. It is added that visa's will be issued free of charge.-Reuter.

Again, Quisling's Minister of Justice has already placed himself at the dis- posal of the true Norwegian Govern- ment and another Minister has been captured by Norwegian soldiers,

He said that 2,000 German troops were arriving dally by 'plane, and his own estimate of the number of German troops in Norway at the moment is 60,000.

This is somewhat higher than other sources put it, some of them going as

low as 30,000.

TOKYO, TO-DAY. FOUR JAPANESE FISHINGBOATS HAVE BEEN SEIZED BY A SOVIET PATROL BOAT WHILE FISHING OFF POSIET BAY, SOUTH-EAST- ERN SIBERIA, ACCORDING TO A DESPATCH FROM SEISHIN, KOREA, The Russians are reported to have fired a machinegun at the boats and then taken them to Soviet waters.

Another Japanese fishingboat has been missing since Monday when it was also reported to have been at- tacked by a Soviet patrol boat off Posiet Bay.-Reuter.
