ON CHARGE OF HOUSE BREAKING

AN UNEMployed poRTUGUESE WAS ORDERED TO BE EXPELLED FROM HONG KONG AFTER CON- VICTION ON A HOUSEBREAKING CHARGE BY MR. E. HIMSWORTH AT THE KOWLOON MAGISTRACY THIS MORNING.

"He was Thomas Edmundo da Ro- zarlo, 30, born in Macao, of no fixed abode, charged with breaking Into No. 1, Middle Road with intent to commit felony.

Det.-Sgt. Nolan, prosecuting, sald that at 8 p.m. on Sunday Rozario was found inside the house by Pun Che- leung, a student, who summoned Ser- geant North, on duty in the vicinity, Defendant gained entry through the main door after breaking the lock with a knife.

Pleading guilty, accused said that he had been here for one and a half years and was hoping to leave for Shanghai, where his parents are, but was short of the passage money. : Rozarlo was placed on a bond to be of good behaviour for one year.
