CHAMPION CYCLIST'S DEATH MYSTERY

The German Cycling Federation has sent the following statement to Italy relating to the recent death of the well-known German champion cyclist Richter:

"Our friends are aware that Richter is no more among the living, and in the interest of the branch of sport to which he belonged, it is considered necessary to explain the circumstan- ces of his death.

"Richter, whose qualifications as a cyclist require no praise, committed a crime on his last visit to Switzer- land for professional reasons. He exported marks from Germany to that country on behalf of a Jew from Cologne:
