War Or- ganization Fund for their generosity in voting a sum of One Thousand Pounds to St. Dunstan's. Immediate- ly this money is received I will, of course, communicate with the Chair- man of the Fund.

Quite apart from the financial as- pect of this very generous gift which you have been good enough to use your influence to procure for us, your letter and the keen personal interest you have done us the honour of tak- ing in St. Dunstan's is a real pleasure to me. I need hardly say how much we prize all the help and sympathy that is coming in to us from the Em- pire in these anxious days and your letter is just one further example of this interest and co-operation.

We have a huge task ahead of us in preparing for the reception and care of heavy casualties which may so soon come to us and our Hospital at Oving- dean has to be ready night and day.to meet all emergencies. Sailors, sold- iers, airmen, men of the merchant ser- vice, mine sweepers home defence workers and so on will all bring their eye casualties and their blindness to us, and I am particularly anxious to enlist the sympathy of British people overseas to help us to build up a sub- stantial War fund and thus enable us to give these young men the same help which we gave, and are still giving, to the 1914-1918 men...

Yours sincerely,

(Sd.) Ian Fraser,

CHAIRMAN.
