An example of how the Nazis are carrying on can well be judged by this remarkable picture taken from a German plane over the North Sea. A defenceless trawler, peacably fishing in the sea, is sighted by a Ġer- man raider, who dives down to attack. Note the machine-gun, out of focus. (Copyright, Fox).

Since British merchantships have been armed, the number of even par-beam turned slowly and deliberately tially successful attacks by the Nazis has fallen considerably, and the Nazi aeroplanes and submarines have been devoting their chief attention to un- armed neutral ships and small fishing boats.

It is significant that not one of the seven ships sunk in the past two days were in convoy.-Reuter..
