At the same time, another army is marching into Finland, an army of 100,000 men, women and children who have chosen to leave their homes and remain free Finns in what is left of Finland rather than come under Moscow's rule.

Striking west along snow-covered roads this army is slowly marching, some on foot, some drawing sledges piled high with belongings and some in cars and lorries commandeered by the Government for this purpose.

Originally, the 19,000 square miles of territory formed the home of 500,000 Finns. As the war pro gressed, 400,000 were removed to places of safety and the remainder are now following them.

There is as yet no indication as -to when the Finnish Parliament will ratify the peace treaty with Russia.

The Soviet parliament is expected to ratify the treaty at an extraordin- ary session on March 29.

PRESIDENT'S RECOMMENDATION

London, To-day. According to a broadcast from the Finnish radio station at Lahti late yesterday afternoon, the Finnish Diet was still debating the ratification of the Russian peace treaty.

President Kallio has recommended it be ratified. Reuter.

It has since been announced that the Finnish Parliament ratified the Treaty by 145 votes to 3.

VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN M. DALADIER

A vote of confidence in the Daladier Government was passed yesterday by the French Senate after a 2-day se- cret session.

The resolution expressed admiration for the Finns and said that the Allies would continue the war with increas- ing energy until complete victory as- 'sured the liberty of all nations.-Reu- ter.
