The mother of the deceased appear- ed and a quarrel occurred after which the parties broke up.
At about 3 p.m. that afternoon, the deceased lad took his usual midday nap but on his awakening some time. later, his mother observed that he was frushed and feverish. She kept him in bed and continued about her household duties. In the evening, deceased had a small meal and start-
ed vomiting, which continued
throughout the night.
This, Mr. Williams sald, was the first time she had mentioned this though she had ample opportunity when arrested and later when charg- ed.
Tsang Wing-kee, the brother, Fung Wai-hing, the mother, Tsang Kwok- chol, the father, Koo Kam, and Kwok On, the constable who made the arrest, gave evidence.
Accused, in evidence, repeated her story that the blow which struck the boy was delivered by his own brother who missed her. She was giddy and weak when she made the earlier state- ments.
The case is proceeding.

There the Inspector-on-duty saw that the child was in a bad way and had it removed to hospital where it died two days later,
BRITISH WATERS ON SATURDAY, A report was made to the Police yesterday by Wong Hing, 23, a pas- senger who managed to escape.
According to Wong, he, his brother and four women were passengers on board fishing junk No. 938. At 6 p.m. four men-boarded the junk and · or- dered him and one of the women to swim ashore while the others were herded into one of the holds.
The junk then sailed away. No- thing has since heard of the others.
