GOERING'S WEAPON OF DESTRUCTION

Berlin, To-day.

In a General Order on the occasion of the anniversary of the foundation of the

air force to-day, Field-Marshal Goering, the Air Minister, states that the German air force will not swerve from its course until the final victory is won.

"The nation is satisfied that you are the people's shield and protection against attack from the air, but at the same time the air force is a weapon of destruction- against all who have criminally shattered the peace."

According to reports received here from Germany, the Nazi leaders are taking pains to make it clear to Mr. Welles that they will make no peace without victory. The Berlin correspondent of a Swiss paper tells of how the Nazi war of nerves has back-fired!

Nazi circles, he reports, deny the truth of peace plans attributed to Hitler by the London "Daily Tele- graph." German circles say that these reports are false and intended to drag believing the German people into that their Fuehrer is not entirely con-
