RUMANIAN BID
FOR STABILITY
IN BALKANS
(SPECIAL TO “ CHINA MAIL")
Bucharest, To-day. RUMANIAN DIPLOMACY has achieved a great step towards the maintenance of peace in the Balkans by establishing a basis for political and economic co-operation between the Balkan and Near East countries, in the opinion of observers | here commenting on the Rumanian Finance Minister's departure for the Bulgarian capital. The political efforts taken by Rumanian in co-oper- ation with Turkey seem to have been successful up to a point where they permit of serious eco- nomic discussions.
A definite possibility now exists | serious complications as Germany that the smaller nations of South- and Russia, which have tried to draw Eastern Europe will drop for the Bulgaria into their orbit, might take time being their quarrels and claims violent action in order to break the to oppose a common barrier to Rus-peace bloc which is now being form- sian and German ambițions.

EUROPEAN LAD KILLED IN FALL FROM ROOF
A shocking accident occurred at Gap Road yesterday when a Euro- pean boy, only 01⁄2 years of age, fell 80 feet from the roof of No. 5, Gap load, and was killed. The lad, Thomas Iant, was playing on the roof and lost his balance. Parents of the child are Sergeant Iant, of the Royal Corps of Signals, and Mrs. Iant, with whom the deepest sympathy will be felt.
