POTATO'S ROLE IN GERMANY

BERLIN, TO-DAY.

THE HUMBLE POTATO 18 THE LATEST "RAW MATERIAL" TO BE EXTENSIVELY USED IN GER- MANY'S ERSATZ DRIVE.

The number of things Germany now claims to be able to make from the potato is really surprising. It is claimed that 40 different dyes and colourings alone can be made, these being used for colouring materials of various kinds,

Vinegar, starch and sugar are also being made, and the potato is used in the making of chocolates and pastries.

Finally, the potato is used to make beer, and from all the evidence avail- able, German beer to-day seems to be almost all potatoes. Reuter.

Well, what of it? It was the Boss's daughter, if she must know.

From what you tell me, your trouble is Night Starvation, Mrs. Parker. You see, even during the night you go on using up enemy in heartbeats, breathing and other automatic actions. In your case this has led to an excess of acid waste products in the' blood, causing you to wake tired, feel and look run-down, nervy:- depressed. Now, recent fests in one of our great London hospitals have proved that Horlicks i is what people need·

for this. Start

tonight...

Darling, I could never love any woman but you. You're so full of life

Do you even wäke tired?
