The annual riding sports held yesterday by Hong Kong Riding School, managed by Mr. R. H. Charles, were an unqualified success judging by the large crowd and the enthusiasm displayed by all the competitors.

There was a varied programme. which catered for adults and juveniles alike and a fine standard was reveal-

ed in most of the events.

The musical chairs, as usual, pro- vided a great deal of entertainment and was eventually won by Mr. R. H. J. Brooks.

Miss P. Dodwell won the advanced

children's competition, while Master Harry Tipple distinguished himself in the jumping competition.

Following the sports prizes were presented by Mrs. S. H. Dodwell, who was introduced by Lt-Col. H. B. L. Dowbiggin.
