midable opponents. Army, though NAVY FIELDING TEAM
without Godby, are a hard team to beat at Sookunpoo. Recrelo, however, secured a win there last Saturday and there is no reason to believe that K.C.C. cannot mete out the same treatment, especially as they will have Frank Goodwin back to aid a well varied attack.
I.R.C. made short work of Univer- sity last week, and it is considered likely that they will beat Craigen- gower with something in reserve, Craigengower have a slow scoring side, however, and a draw would not come as a great surprise.

There are no outstanding matches to-day in either division of the Ladi- es' Hockey League, and the best game should be that between Ladies and C.B.A. Ladies on the for- Hong Kong Football Club's Inter-mer's ground in the Caer Clark Cup

Main attractions in this week-end's
programme are the Semi- Final Round games in the Lai Wah Cup competition. Army meet Navy this afternoon at Caroline Hill and Chinese, holders, encounter Civilians at Causeway Bay to-morrow.

the unexpected defeat they sustained last Saturday at Craigengower. The champions had an off day then, but the loss of three points should do them a lot of good.
Civil Service had a holiday last week, and their try-out against a strong Club junior team should stand them in good stead against Univer- sity, who have still to secure a point.
The friendly cricket match between Hong Kong Cricket Club seniors and Hong Kong University, arranged for this afternoon on the Club ground, has been cancelled.

PRIENDLY
Navy, who play their fifth game in 10 days, are fielding the same side
which beat Middlesex during the week. Thoburn, who injured him- self in this game, is likely to be fit and back at inside-left.
-
Hendy, who was injured last Sun- day, will not be available. Le Page, who has played in Hong Kong be- fore, will be seen at inside-left.
Chinese will have to go all out against Civilians, who have chosen a strong side.
Taylor, Police Rugby player, will be seen between the sticks. He play ed a great game for Police in the Junior Shield recently and showed that he can handle the ball well.
Maxwell, of Kowloon and an In- teport reserve, has been preferred to Hussain and, with Williamson in the centre, should do well. The at- tack is well balanced.
The Rest have a formidable team out, though several Club players might have been included, notably Heasman and Burford, while Deane or Kennedy were worth a place in the back row. Another prominent player to be over- looked is Lang, who would have fill- ed the fly-half position with credit.
It should be a close game governed by forward play, in which case I fav- our the chances of the Rest. If it is an open game the odds are
in favour of Club as
Stewart should be able to get the better of Kennedy, while Bosanquet should at the least hold Richards. The centre threequar- ters are well matched and Charter halves than Hook and Luscombe.

this sea- son, and Chung Yung-sum, of Eas- Sutherland (Army), Cullinan (Police); Searle (Police). Taylor (Navy); Wright-Nooth tern, has at last gained recognition ↑ (Police), King (Navy) and Pinkerton in preference to Yeung Shui-yick | (Army).
Reserves: Carter (Navy). Fay (Police}, and Tam Kwong-sum.
Clark (Navy), Palmer (Navy) and Berry -Lee Wai-tong, for the first time in (Army);" many years, will be seen at inside- left, the position he at one time liked best. Chan Tak-fat is in the centre- forward berth.
In First Division of the League, Kowloon play their postponed game against South China "B" and should avenge their defeat in the Senior Shield, when, with a depleted team, they were beaten by 3 goals to 2. Eastman will not be available as he is in camp, and V. White will fill his position.
After many attempts the replay of the First Round Senior Shield game between Royal Scots and Club will be played this afternoon at the Val-
win.

"Y" Ladies will again have Miss C. Minoot in goal, but otherwise their team is unchanged. C. B. A. are making several positional chan- ges, the most important of which is the return of Miss D. Moss to goal from the forward line.
Mrs. Wilmot, who has been play- Ing at back this season, will be seen on the right wing, and Miss Whitley will be at back.
St. Andrew's Ladies, who are now in the running for the title, will be with- out the services of Miss West, right- half, and her place will be taken by Miss P. Lawson. They meet C.B.S. and should win.
