NAZI LIES THROUGH SWISS EYES
In the press of Switzerland there have lately been several retorts to German misrepresen- tation of Swiss feeling. The 'Ber- nor Tagwacht' calls attention to 'Munchener report in the Neueste Nachrichten', the author of which used a photograph of some citizens of Berne waiting for their blue ration cards to lilus- trate "demonstrations” of ill-will against Great Britain. A writer In the 'Journal de Geneva' writes: "When people get their food cards they don't curse the block- ade almed at the Reich. They Just say that, If Hitler's Govern ment had not smashed Poland, they would not be having to count their grains of rice and grammes of macaroni. But of course the correspondent of the German paper couldn't very well report that.”
