The cass was heard before the 28 Puisne Judge, Mr. Justice R. E. Lind - 7 sell. Plaintiff was represented by Mr. 35 C. A. S. Russ and Mr. M. A. Silva re- 18 presented defendants.

DR. LI KI-FONG CAUTIONED

Dr. Li Ki-fong, of No. 1, Marsh Road, was before Mr. R. A. D. Forrest this morn- ing, charged with unlawful possession of poisons and possession of morphine.

Detective Sub-Inspector W. N. Darkin said accused's premises were raided by the Revenue Department on Monday, and the poisons were found inside a cupboard.

On October 16, defendant wrote to plaintiff that his rent was overdue, that in spite of notice to quit, he had not been ejected and that defen- dant intended to hold plaintiff's goods until rent was paid.

This Mr. Ruas said was not lawful. To the letter by Mr. Russ, defen- dant, through Mr. Silva, replied that defendant had never made any ar- rangement with plaintiff for the xale of his goods, had never sold anything and that there was no jewellery in his possession. He counter claimed for $105 for rent due.

On Tuesday, Mr. Russ received a letter from Mr. Silva saying that plain- Liff had not taken away his goods from defendant's store, that his client was always willing to let him have his property, and tendering delivery of imitation-jewellery-which- he-asked- Mr. Russ to check up.

The case is proceeding.

ACCIDENT SEQUEL

Lieut. Thomas Parkinson, 51, Q.M. of the Volunteers was again in Court
