FRESH QUAKE TREMORS IN ANATOLIA
Ankara, To-day.
FRESH TREMORS WERE FELT in southern Anatolia yesterday, and several hundreds of buildings collapsed and many more people have been rendered homeless. Fortunately, the death-roll is believed to have been small. This was because the quakes came in the day-time and people had time to rush out of their houses before the buildings fell in and collapsed, The floods persist and the River Eu- phrates is causing great damage, whole villages being swept away. Its waters [are still rising.
President Inenue is completing pre- parations for a tour of the entire de- vastated area.-Reuter.
BRITISH OFFER TO TURKEY
London, To-day.
The British Government has offer- ed to put a hospital ship at the dis- posal of the Turkish Government.
The latter have replied expressing their gratitude and stating they will accept the offer should the need arise.

NINE VILLAGES DESTROYED (SPECIAL TO “CHINA MAIL")
Istanbul, To-day.
Nine villages in the earthquake devastated zone which had suffered only minor damage in last week's disaster were almost completely de- stroyed by severni further shocks yesterday.
The inhabitants received adequate warning however and there were no casualties.-Havas.
COMPULSORY LABOUR SERVICES
London, To-day. Both Sweden and Rumania are to have compulsory labour services.
In Sweden, under a bill passed on Tuesday, labour will be compulsory for the equipping and maintaining of Sweden's defences,
as well as for such vital services as agriculture and transport.
All farm labour, it was announced in Rumania yesterday, is now com- pulsory. Reuter.
