NAZI EXPRESS Saar Train Runs At Full

GERMANS SUFFERING FROM OVERWORK

Berlin, To-day.

Thousands of Germans suffering from overwork are to be given three weeks' holi- day next year and those whose holidays were cancell- ed last September may have them restored.

This is part of the general modi- fication of the war labour program- me, and was announced yesterday.

The new decrees, which come Into effect on January 1, recognise In principle the 8-hour day, and state that even in the "vital in- dustries" It must not exceed 12

R.A.F. CASUALTY LIST

London, To-day.

A further Air Ministry casual- ty list issued yesterday records the names of 40 officers and men killed in action or missing, seven died on active service and one wounded.

The list Includes a Far Eastern man in the person of Pilot-Or- ficer M. E. G. Maller, who was killed.

Pilot-Officer Maller was born in Malaya. His father lives at Usa River, Tanganyika-Reuter.

DISASTER Speed Into Second EIGHTH SEVERE SMASH SINCE THE WAR

Berlin, To-day.

AT LEAST 70 WERE KILLED and about 100 injured when the Berlin-Nuenkirchen express crashed into the Berlin-Cologne express at a station some fifty miles to the south-west of Berlin.

The engine and six coaches of the first train and

four coaches of the second were derailed. Both trains were packed with Christmas holiday pas-

sengers.

EIGHTH BAD SMASH
