H.E. TO PLAY CRICKET

ANOTHER STERN TEST
FOR SAINTS

St. Andrew's Ladies' hockey team which went down so badly to "Y". last week will be further tested to-day when they meet Hong Kong Ladies at King's Park.
Two interesting cricket matches will be played to-ed as that which played morrow, one of which should be quite serious and the other a good social party!
The Hong Kong-team is not to be recognis- their opening matches and they can be expected to give
a good account of thema ves if they do not
actually win.
Interesting changes in the Saints' for. ward-line have hoon made as a result of the return to the side of Mrs. Bliss (nee Gittins), who will take over her old position as leader of the attack. Miss Roberts, who has been centre-for- ward thus far, will play on the left wing.
The party will be at Kowloon Cricket Club where the veterans of K.C.C. led by His Honour Mr. Justice Lindsell, will play the veterans of H.K.C.C. led by Hon. Mr. T. E. Pearce.casions last season. All players will be over 45 years of
age.
The latter team will include Hiz Excellency the Governor, who thus belleve, plays his second match in the Colony, the first being in the Inter-Varsity match last season.

At Happy Valley, one company of the Volunteer Defence Corps will en- tertain the Battalion team of the Middlesex Regiment.
The company side, representative of No. 3 (M.G.) Company, will have out some of the finest players in the Colony and Mid- dlesex will have to be in good form to win.

THRILLING BADMINTON AT K. TONG
Three badminton matches were played yesterday evening resulting in
victories for Chinese “y” in "AP Division, Recreio "A" in, Mixed Divi- sion and St. Teresa's in "B", Divi- sion.
The first two matches, wore one- sided, neither Recreio nor Chinese "y" dropping a game but some splendid rallies were witnessed at Kowloon Tong although St. Teresa's always had an edge over their op- ponents.
Finest game of the evening as far as technical ability was concerned was that between R. E. Lee and F. S. Ko (Kowloon Tong) and Joseph Tsang and Peter Lo.
A ding-dong struggle resulted in a good win for the St. Teresa's pair, whose better combination and gen- eral steadiness carried them through. THRILLING RALLY,
Most exciting game, however, saw Albert Chan and N. A. E. Mackay lose to Austin Ho and J. Lam 24-23 after being at one stage led by 18-8. The home pain staged a desperate rally at this stage and ran off a re- markable string of points, eventually to "set" at 19, lead 3-1 and 4-3 but just lose..
