CHARITY BAZAAR

The charity bazaar of the Hong Kong Branch of the National Wo- men's Relief Association will be held to-day from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Causeway Bay Chinese Recreation Club.

Eighteen stalls will sell a variety of useful goods and tea will be served. The major portion of the net proceeds will be used to buy winter garments for the Chinese Front, while the re- mainder will be divided into a portion for the association's own relief work and into a portion for the Hong Kong branch of the British War Relief Fund.

GRANTED 48 HOURS

Washington, To-day. The Admiral Graf Spee has

now been granted 48 hours to stay in Montevideo, according to information received by the Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull-Reuter.
