HITLER'S LATE ENVOY to Turkey, Baron von Lersner, has been hard at work since he arrived four days ago to regain for the Reich the con- fidence of the Turks, since the mission of Herr von Papen (the Nazi Ambassador) is consider- ed to have failed completely, according to des- patches from Ankara.
Baron von Lersner, who describes himself as "the representative in Turkey of the German Near East Club," claims that his task consists of bet- ter furthering Turkish-German cultural, social and economic relations.
21 SOVIET PILOTS EXECUTED
Helsinki, To-day. Reports reaching Helsinki from Baltiski, the Esthonian Baltic port, state that Soviet Army of ficials and the O.G.P.U. have executed 21 Soviet pilots charges of sabotage; the aviators refused to renew their aerial at- tacks on Finnish towns.-Reuter.

THEFT OF BOXES AT CATHEDRAL
