IN THE CURTAIN RAISER of a six-game programme | No. 3 M.G. took another trouncing in the hands of the formidable Recreio "A", 29-5. The game was one of those lopsided tangles with the Recs scoring almost at will.
They hammered moundsmen Charlie Manson and southpaw Willie Rapley for 26 hits while Johnny Alvares on the mound for Recreio allowed the khaki boys to nick him for seven safeties and four earned runs.

In the fourth the Gunners added one more run with Reggie Broadbridge scoring the tally on a hit and two bobbles by "Spotty" Pereira. SPORTS PARADE
THE next two months will be busy
ones for Hong Kong Football As- sociation as negotiations for the three Interports will commence in earnest.
Though no word has yet been re- ceived from Shanghai as to whether they will be able to accomodate Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year for the revival of the annual Inter- ports which have been discontinued since 1937, it is understood, from un- official sources, that Shanghai wel- come the idea and are shortly mak- ing arrangements to accomodate the Hong Kong team.
The inability of Shanghai to re- ceive a team from Hong Kong in De- cember has somewhat upset the As- sociation's plans with regard to the Interport with Manila. It was ai first hoped that if Hong Kong were able to visit Shanghai in December, Shanghai might be induced to send a team to the Colony during the Chin- ese New Year at which time an in- vitation would be extended to Manila to participate in a triangular Inter- port contest.

It was a tough break for C.B.A. to lose when they had the game in the bag most of the way. They out-hit their opponents 6-5 and errors were evenly divided, five each.

HONG KONG Football Referees' As-
sociation held their first monthly meeting of the season last night when the revised rules of the Association were discussed.
It was a pity that the attendance was not up to expectations as many of the referees were unable to attend owing to duty or other business.
