“How's that?"

"Excellent! It's White Horse...--

I could tell it blindfold.”

No other whisky combines so rare a fragrance with such mellow smoothness; no other is quite so soft, so round, so genial. Perfect blending and slow maturing have made White Horse Whisky the equal of a fine liqueur.

The millions of gallons of finest Scotch whisky matured and maturing ensure that the quality of White Horse never varies.

SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES

CONCERNED

London, To-day.

HERR HITLER is closely studying M. Molotov's speech, reports from Berlin state, and has had several conversations about it with his advisors. Reports of its reception in other countries must be a double cause of dissatisfaction to the Nazis. Holland and Sweden, for instance, object to Molo- tov's remarks about Finland and regard Ger- many as responsible for this. One Danish paper says that Russian behaviour in the Baltic and the new Soviet proposals to Fin- land are regarded as a new form of invasion.

Holland feels anxious, for success for the Soviet might prove to be a prelude for German demands for the use of Dutch islands in the war with Britain and France.

The influential Swedish newspaper "Tidingen" says that it is clearly out of the question for Finland to allow Soviet Russia any kind of concessions similar to those which China in her hour of weakness and now the Baltic states have been compelled to yield.

It would be a similar case if Sweden was to lease to a foreign power one of her southern naval bases or the district of Gothland.

CLEAR "NO"

One could expect to hear a clear Finnish. "No". This is a cardinal point of Scandinavian policy of liberty and neutrality.

MY WORD - ISN'T THAT ONE OF

THOSE HOT CANINE PAVILIONS?

Moscow, To-day. Germany does not entertain very large hopes of getting much raw materials, etc. from Soviet circles, informed circles in Moscow state.

Major factors. are the inadequate transport system in Russia and the Lackwardness of Soviet industry, which is not even able to produce enough for home consumption.

These factors apply to oils, food- stuffs, fertilisers and raw materials.—- Reuter,
