THE B.B.C. OBSERVER with the R.A.F. in France describes how a British fighter shot down a Ger- man reconnaissance plane over a British aero- drome.

When the enemy plane appeared at a great height, the British fighter hopped off, but when still 3,000 feet below the enemy the latter turned for home.
