procedure under in- ternational law, it is pointed out here, when a merchantman is brought into a neutral port with a prize crew board, is for the neutral country not to intern the prize crew only if the vessel was forced into port because of bad weather, lack of fuel or provisions or the necessity for repairs. B.F.R.D.C. GRANTS
The Board of Administrators of the B.F.R.D.C., in addition to the re- cent grant to Rev. H. A. Wittenbach for relief agencies in the Chungshan District, has made a special grant to him of $1,000 to enable him to put up an emergency hospital in a third camp which is being opened at Ngan Hang, near Macao. A cheque for this amount has been forwarded to him through the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation.
The Board has also made a further grant of $800 to Rev. R. J. Harris, S.J., of the Regional Seminary, Aberdeen, for relief of certain fishing people at Aplichau, Aberdeen and Shaukiwar who have lost everything on-account of the Sino-Japanese conflict, to bulld boats and house the unfortun- ates until the boats are ready. A cheque for $800 has been forwarded to Rey, Harris.
Mrs. Davis, of Bowen Road Mili- tary Hospital, has reported the theft of $272 in money and Jewellery from the Sisters' Quarters yesterday after-
