Propaganda responsible for the tide of resentment is carried on by tremist Croat agitators who say they accept no agreement with Belgrade-or the Central Government. They accuse the great Croat leader, M. Vladimir Machek, of having betrayed them

The only solution to the Serb-Croat problem, they alleged, is complete in- dependence for Croatia, even though it be under foreign protection, as with Slovakia. These agitators do not trou- ble even to hide their "admiration” for the Ustachi, members of the secret terrorist organization who assassinated King Alexander of Yugoslavia at Marseilles on October 9, 1934.
