IN Interesting situation has arisen as the result of the war. It was con- sidered unlikely by many cricketers, that Navy would be able to participate in the Cricket League this season,

At best they would be certain to ex- perience considerable 'difficulty in raising sides.

A solution, however, appears to have presented itself. Included in the H.K.N.V.F. which is now mobilised are several local club cricketers ranked among the best in the Colony. These players have been warned that they will be expected to turn out for Navy In the League.

To my recollection the following players will be affected; L. D. Kilbee (Club), F. Baker (Civil Service), D. S. Robb (Club), G. W. P. Carey (Club), H. M. Cockle (Civil Service) and C. M. Stark (Club).

It will be recalled that the Naval Volunteers turned out a team last

On that occasion Stark first made a name for himself locally, proving to be a fast-medium bowler of great ac- curacy who makes good use of the new ball.
