FINED FOR ASSAULT

Before Mr. R. A. D. Forrest this morning, Hau Kwok-pat, 26, motor car driver, was charged with assault.

Inspector A. V. Baker, prosecuting, said that defendant was in a car which was being driven along Johns- ton Road at about 7 o'clock last night.

Tse Liu, a shop foki, was riding on bicycle behind the car. When the car stopped complainant overtook it, but the car started again and knocked him down. Defendant got out of the car, and struck the foki in the face. He was seen striking the blow and was arrested.

A fine of $4 was imposed.
