SOVIET INDUSTRY DECLINING
Stockholm, September 13. Soviet industry is declining and the economic assistance from the U.S.S.R. on which Fleld-Marshal Hermann Goering dwelt at length in his recent speech may not amount to much, well- Informed circles here stated to-day.

The economic organ "Industria" reported on August 4 that production of metal was by several hundred thousand tons below official expectations. CZECH ENVOY MAY LOSE STATUS
* Moscow, Sept. 10. The Czech 'Minister's motor-car was seen driven through the streets to-day without the usual Czech flag on the bonnet. This led to the belief, despite Soviet denials, that the envoy's diplo- matic standing is no longer recognised by the U.S.S.R.
