HIS MAJESTY THE KING, with the Dukes of Gloucester and Kent, prayed for peace with his people at West- minster Abbey yesterday.

Churches throughout the country following the appeal of the Archbishop of Canterbury for prayers for peace held special services and were filled.

The presence of the King and his brothers at the Abbey was not gen- erally known to the crowded congre- gation many members of which, both men and women, were in khaki uniform.
