Pell Returns Same Time As German But Adjudged 2nd Britain Heavily Defeated In Athletic Contest
COLOGNE, TO-DAY, Germany beat Great Britain by 93% points to 421⁄2 points in an athletic contest between the two countries.
Germany won all the events except the 110 yards hur- dles which was a dead heat between Lockton, of Great Britain, and Pollmanns, in 15 seconds.

Berne, To-day.-The German team was victorious yesterday in the tor race for the Grand Prix of Swit- zerland; Hermann Lang, Mercedes Benz, winning his seventh this year with an average speed 154 kilometres per hour over a course of 218 kilometres.

Hermann Lang had been already first in the preliminary runs when he covered 145 kilometres at an average of 162 kilometres per hour.
