Times have changed and it has come back into the elegant picture like a charm retrieved from the past. Modern trends have brought different ways of handling it and it will add a very expensive item in satin, velvet and lame to the dress budget.
This attractive outfit combines two trends-that of the ribboned accessory and of the vogue for tar- tan.
Bonnet and muff are made en- tirely of gaily-coloured tartan taffetą ribbon. The bonnet, perched well to the front of the head, ties in grandmother fashion with strings under the chin, ending in a bow to the left side of the face.
