London quarters are beginning to envisage cir- cumstances in which the Anglo-Japanese nego- tiations in Tokyo, which have been hanging fire for a week, may not be resumed at all. No date have been fixed for re-opening of the dis- cussions on the Tientsin Concession, says the political correspondent of the "Financial News," who adds the warning that there is still a possibility that they may not resume at all.

A communique was issued in Tokyo yesterday evening on the outcome of the afternoon's five- hour conference of the Inner Cabinet.
The meeting had been con- voked to determine Japan's policy towards European disputes, but no final décisions had yet been taken.
