In the darkest period of modern history, the fight for freedom continues to-day and will continue until victory, and freedom has returned. Thus declares Dr. Benes, former President of Czecho-Slovakia, in an address to the Liberal Summer School at Cambridge yesterday.

Pointing out that the recent London report that the Chinese Government and Central Bank · had given two contracts for the printing of more than thousand million banknotes, gave the impression that the contracts referred to were recent origin and that the Chin- ese Government was embarking on a course of inflation.
