China Progress

In Reconstruction

Shanghai, To-day. Asserting that "China has become practically in- dependent of foreign imports and can continue economically and militarily to carry on resist- ance for an indefinite period," the Chinese newspaper "Shun Pao” says that the new strength which China has gained is derived chiefly from the economic reconstruction move- ment of which Marshal Chiang Kai-shek is the chief sponsor.

Despite the Japanese invasion, China has made an unprecedented progress in the last 25 months in economic reconstruction,

HOT ISN'T IT!

But you will not notice the heat so much if your digestive and ellminative organs are clean and free from any accumulation of waste matter. Pin- kettes will help you to ensure this. Any tendency to constipation should be corrected at once with a laxative dose of this ideal aperient. When there is congestion in the intestines not only do you feel the heat but you are more liable to fall prey to summer sickness. For liverishness, biliousness,
