Another Win For Vim

TRIVIA'S MISHAP

LONDON, JULY 5.

THE ROYAL PLYMOUTH CORINTHIAN YACHT CLUB GAVE THE CONCLUDING REGATTA YESTERDAY OF THE FOUR DAYS' FESTIVAL IN THE FAMOUS SOUND, THE WEA- THER WAS SQUALLY WITH AN OFF-SHORE WIND FROM THE NORTH-WEST. PLYMOUTH IS A POPULAR YACHTING CEN- TRE, AND HAS, BESIDES THREE ROYAL CLUBS, TEN SAIL- ING CLUBS WHICH CATER CHIEFLY FOR THE OWNER OF SMALL YACHTS.

Of the Royal Clubs, the Corinthian gives most encour- agement to the smaller owners, and in to-day's programme of sixty-five entries approximately 75 per cent. were locally- owned craft.

DAVIS CUP

YUGO-SLAVIA'S FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES

Agram, To-day.

There appears to be some doubt as to whether the Yugo-Slav Davis cup team which defeated Germany by three points to two in the European zone final at Agram will be able to proceed to United States to play against the wimer of the American zone for the right to challenge the present holders of the Davis Cup.. the United States, since the question as to who will finance their journey is still un- settled.

Morrison got one back before the change of ponies, but this proved to be Adsdean's only goal. With the half-time score at five goals to one in favour of the Jaguars, Adsdean were in a parlous condition indeed, and this got worse as the game went on. Mr. Rous hit goals in the fourth and fifth periods, while Capt, Guinness hit what proved to be, the last goal of the game in the sixth.

The Pandas, receiving a goal and a half, won the final tie of the Kit- Cat Cup medium handicap tourna- ment at Ranelagh, They beat Edgehill after a hard game by 10% goals to 7. On the winning side, the Hon. J. Hamilton-Russell was very prominent, and Capt. R. W. Hobson played well for Edgehill, especially in the second period, in which he hit three fine goals.
