Berlin, To-day.
Large scale air-raid precaution manoeuvres were carried out in the whole of the Reich capital yesterday.
At three p.m. the first alarm sounded by the sirens installed and immediately all members of the civil air rair defence organisations, wardens, despatch runners, sanitary detachments, fire brigades went to their posts.
At ten minutes to seven p.m. the sirens sounded the signal which announced the immediate arrival over the capital of "enemy" planes.
ITALIAN ARMY MANOEUVRES
While the first alarm had applied only to those holding posts in the airraid defence, all traffic came now to a standstill. Everybody in the streets ran for the nearest public shelter, to which yellow signs put up in the morning showed the way, or alternatively, sought refuge shelter in the nearest private house. ARMY,
